These scissors have a cupped, spoon-shaped blade that encloses the cord so it can be cut without risk to the baby.
Use scissors only on the tissue or material they are designed for; cutting sutures, wire or dressings with dissecting scissors dulls the edges. Process with the blades open and check the joint for smooth action.
