A Reverdin needle has an eye that is opened and closed by a slide on the handle, so the ligature can be caught and released.
Clean the eye and the full curve thoroughly after use. Check the point and eye for burrs before each use.

Instruments are supplied non-sterile. Before first use and after every use, clean, inspect and sterilise them in line with your facility’s validated reprocessing procedure. Rinse and dry immediately after use, avoid contact with saline and strong chlorine solutions, and store dry.
