Mixter forceps are the classic right-angled forceps for dissecting behind vessels and ducts and passing ligatures.
Design features
- Right-angled jaws
- Box joint for durable jaw alignment
- Ratchet lock to hold the jaws closed
- Lengths 15 to 28 cm
Typical applications
- Dissection and ligation
- Gallbladder and thoracic surgery
Care
Process with the ratchet open. Do not use hemostatic forceps as needle holders or on hard objects, which spoils jaw alignment. Check that the jaws close evenly and the ratchet holds.
