Pean forceps have fully serrated, rounded jaws for clamping vessels and tissue.
Design features
- Transverse serrations for a secure, non-slip hold
- Ratchet lock to hold the jaws closed
- Lengths 12.5 to 16 cm
Typical applications
- General surgery: hemostasis
Care
Process with the ratchet open. Do not use hemostatic forceps as needle holders or on hard objects, which spoils jaw alignment. Check that the jaws close evenly and the ratchet holds.
