The standard artery forceps of British practice, with fully serrated jaws.
Design features
- Transverse serrations for a secure, non-slip hold
- Ratchet lock to hold the jaws closed
- Box joint or screw joint
- Lengths 13 to 23 cm
Typical applications
- General surgery: hemostasis
Care
Process with the ratchet open. Do not use hemostatic forceps as needle holders or on hard objects, which spoils jaw alignment. Check that the jaws close evenly and the ratchet holds.
