The Langenbeck retractor is the standard hand-held retractor with a right-angled blade, for holding back skin and muscle.
Clean thoroughly between the prongs or blades after use. Check sharp prongs for bending before each use; malleable blades may be shaped by hand but should not be bent repeatedly at the same point.
