Schnidt forceps have long, curved jaws for dissection and clamping in tonsillectomy and deep fields.
Process with the ratchet open. Do not use hemostatic forceps as needle holders or on hard objects, which spoils jaw alignment. Check that the jaws close evenly and the ratchet holds.
