Wertheim scissors are long, curved scissors designed for radical pelvic surgery, giving reach deep in the pelvis.
Use scissors only on the tissue or material they are designed for; cutting sutures, wire or dressings with dissecting scissors dulls the edges. Process with the blades open and check the joint for smooth action.
